"She is arrested for that fraud Ardhansh."

He heard those words and his body froze in that place, his mind went numb for a second.

He lost again, he just failed, he failed to be the best grandson, the best son, the best brother, the best husband, and the best lover. He is just a shame, a failure.

His son cried for attention but he didn't even flinch.

"Come here, Baby." Yashika who was standing beside him took her son after getting an idea of the situation.

"Ardhansh!!!!" Vansh called him out bringing him back to reality.

"What time it is?"

"8 PM."

"Call Saransh....and ask him to come back and prepare for the bail," he ordered and searched for his father.

Vansh was going to inform him that Saransh came back in the evening but Ardhansh completely ignored him.

Ardhandh caught his father on one side of the bar counter and forwarded his legs but a grip on his wrist stopped him.

He knew who it was, he turned towards the woman and noticed her tear-filled eyes.

Yashika pulled him closer and stared straight into his dark eyes, "Can't you see it Ardhansh?"

He frowned and was going to pull his hand back but her words stopped him.

"The feelings I have for you. You can see her pain, her love, her hate, her emotions but what about me?"

His body went cold, he never thought about it, he just never spared her a thoughtful glance to think about her feelings.

Today he understood he just didn't destroy one woman, it's two, first his love and second his wife.

"I just can't stop loving you I am sorry, but If you could ever understand think about me once Ardhansh."

Her words stabbed him hard, but he managed to let out.

"Let me go, Yashika."

Yashika left his wrist without any further word and he walked away, leaving her again heartbroken.

He walked near his father and said,
"I need to talk to you Mr Singhaniya," He didn't beat around the bush and came to the direct point.

Adhiraj lifted his eyebrows and stared at his son who first time initiated the conversation with him, his heart pounded loudly in excitement.

A smile came on his lips that vanished remembering that fraud in the finance department and he assumed it to be a formal talk.

"Speak," He calmly ordered.

"ALONE."

Ardhansh said trying to sound calm.

"Is It about that fraud?"

"NO," He answered in one word, he just wanted to finish it in a few sentences.

"Then What is it?" Adhiraj frowned and asked.

"Ask the legal team to take down that case."

"Are you joking?"

"I am not, I want you to take her out."

"And Why I will do it? Wait a minute Why do you want to take out that girl?" Adhiraj's brows creased in suspicion and he stared at his son to get an answer.

"That is none of your business, Mr Singhaniya, Do the favour on me and ask your legal team to take back that case."

Adhiraj stared at him and asked in a serious tone, "First You didn't inform me about this and now You want to take out that fraud–

"She isn't a fraud, For Fuck sake." Ardhansh gritted his teeth to keep his voice in control but his words triggered Adhiraj.

"Don't tell me you have something to do with that girl?" Adhiraj lowered his voice and said staring straight into his eyes.

Ardhansh rolled his eyes and uttered, "Yeah! So what?"

"What!!! Are you out of your mind Arsh?" Adhiraj gritted his teeth suppressing his volume.

"You are cheating on Your wife."

This time Ardhansh didn't control himself and shouted back, "You are saying it like You are so loyal to your wife, A fucking cheater.

Shailaja who was trying to talk with Yaksha froze upon hearing that topic.

The guest turned to look at them and he realised what he had done.

The atmosphere tensed and murmurs spread across the whole hall.

Abhay sensed the tense atmosphere and announced.

"The Function is Over."

Guest slowly emptied the house giving glances at the father-son duo who were glaring at each other like they would straggle each other to death.

Now there were just Trivedi and Singhaniya left.

Vansh too was there looking at his friend, who was trying hard to mask his broken self, he knew it was time to end this hide-and-seek game.

Kaustubh who sensed the upcoming drama took a sit on a bar stool and stared at the scene with keen interest, seeping his drink from time to time.

When Ardhansh noticed that there were no barriers he didn't stop himself.

"YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY SHAME THAT I CAUGHT YOU.... at least have the slightest of shame."

"Watch your tongue Ardhansh, You are talking with your father," Adhiraj Shouted in anger.

Ardhansh laughed upon hearing his words and stared at him with blazing eyes.

"You And Father, I just know you as a Man who cheated on His Pregnant wife......At least I slept with one woman unlike you."

Adhiraj just went silent and was stunned by his words, he didn't expect these words to come from his sophisticated son.

Ardhansh slapped his head with a smile and said, "Ahhh such stupid I am, How could I forget this?"

His expression went dead serious and he announced, "LISTEN THAT ONE WOMAN WITH WHOM I SLEPT IS THE MOTHER OF MY SON.....A BIOLOGICAL MOTHER WHO KEPT HIM IN HER WOMB FOR NINE MONTHS"

Everyone went silent, they all thought the baby was Ardhansh and Yashika's who was born through a surrogate mother, but his words just left them stunned.

A loud sound of the slap echoed in the hall making everyone look at the person who was ragging in anger.

"AND THAT ONE WOMAN ISN'T YOUR WIFE!!"

Ardhansh just froze in his place not in pain but seeing the woman who slapped him.

His mother!!!!

"And What Did You Do? The Same Thing," Shailaja shouted.

"You Cheated On Your Wife Ardhansh!!! Where I Went Bad In My Upbringing,"

"Maa–

"Shut up!!! Just don't open that filthy mouth!!!!"

"You showed me that You are his blood Ardhansh!!! Your Dadi would be ashamed of you."

His heart pierced, and he knew his Dadi would be ashamed of him but he never had any choice in his life, It was played without his will.

She knows all his misery and she would have forgiven him but he can't forgive himself. He could never.

Shailaja fell to the ground heartbroken and Crying for giving birth to the demon who destroyed another innocent woman like her.

She understands the pain of getting cheated and she could never forgive herself for letting another woman go through that same pain.

Ardhansh stared at his mother's heartbroken state and kneeled, he forwarded his hand to touch her and called her out,

"Ma–

Shailaja pushed his hand away making the teardrops slip out of his eyes.

A broken smile came on Yaksha's lips, She always thought of Ardhansh as an ideal boy, a well-mannered teen, and a gentle man but now she was thankful that, Her daughter didn't come back to get this cheater.

She was angry with Shailaja for breaking her promise to marry her son to her daughter, but now she understood, that everything happens for good.

Her eyes travelled towards her husband who was standing beside her and a mocking smile came on her lips after seeing tears in his eyes.

She got up and whispered in his ears, "Karma Mr Trivedi Karma. But I am feeling bad for that girl, she didn't deserve it."

Aashish stumbled hearing his wife's words and glanced at his daughter who was standing in the corner looking shattered and devastated.

His eyes turned red in anger and without any further thought, he took out his gun, unlocked it and stormed towards Ardhansh.

He aimed the gun at his head and was almost ready to pull the trigger but Yashika came in between.

"No, Dad, please!!!!" Her cries filled the room.

She clutched her crying son to her chest and with one hand held her father's legs, but Ardhansh didn't flinch he just kept staring at his mother's broken self.

"I know everything, Dad, he didn't cheat on me, I am staying with him by my own will."

Aashish froze and the tears he was controlling for a long time flowed out.

His daughter endured hate for half of her life without any fault, she told him she loved someone and when he got to know it was Ardhansh he married her off to him without any further thoughts.

He trusted Ardhansh with his daughter, knowing that he was the right choice for his daughter then where it went wrong that he too betrayed his daughter.

He sat near her and stared at her teary eyes.

He wiped her tears and cupped her cheeks, "You know Yashi I love you, A daughter can never be a burden on her father, You know it beta."

Yashika nodded her head vigorously and hugged her father. The only person who loved her. The only person whom she got as hers without any expectations in return.

"It's all my fault, my daughter...Don't worry I will correct it. Let's go," He held her hand and tried to drag her with himself but Yashika pulled her hand.

"He is my husband, Dad. Vo jaha main Vaha."

Aashish stared at her in disbelief, Now he understood why Gulzar Sahab said,

What father would want only to see his daughter happy, he didn't wish any wrong for his daughters.

Then why his sins are making them suffer?

One daughter is going through this much pain and the other one is alive or not he didn't even know.

His fingers trembled and he left her wrist feeling unbearable pain in his heart.

He sat beside her looking at her broken state and cursing himself, his eyes travelled towards the little thing crying in her arms and disgust crawled on his face.

Kaustubh stared at them and sighed uninterestingly.

"Such poor fellows!!" he muttered and turned to look at his mother.

His heart thumped loudly seeing tears in her eyes and without any delay he walked towards her.

He held her in his embrace and lovingly asked, "Why are you crying, sweet lady?"

Yaksha lifted her eyes and stared at her son's worried eyes, her lips wobbled and she cried, "Anny Kaustubh, Where is my daughter?"

Kaustubh went speechless, and his heart started to bleed.

His Anny where is she? Almost eighteen years passed but the answer was never found.

That two-year-old bundle of Joy was lost taking all the happiness with her forever and whenever they went on a search for her just disappointment remained in their hands.

"Ardhansh they are not accepting the bail application."

Ardhansh who heard Vansh's words snapped out of his reverie and without any second thought tried to get up but halted feeling a tight grip on his wrist.

"DON'T GO ARDHANSH."

A small smile adorned his lips and he gently removed his mother's hand.

"IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THIS BODY TO YOURSELF I WILL STOP MAA."

Shailaja stared at him in disbelief and tears left her eyes.

He wiped her tears and said looking straight into her eyes, "SHE OWNS ME MAA, MY HEART, MY SOUL, MY EVERY BREATH BELONGS TO HER, WHAT IS LEFT TO OWN BY HER IS? THIS BODY. IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THIS DEAD FLESH I WILL WILLINGLY STOP."

A loud sob escaped her mouth and she moved away from him, He surely wasn't her son.

Ardhansh smiled but it vanished feeling a tug on his shirt, he turned and smiled seeing his son who was pulling his shirt to put it in his mouth.

He caressed his rosy cheeks and whispered, "I will bring back Mumma and will give you back to her. FOREVER."

Yashika's eyes snapped towards him and warm tears cascaded down her eyes, her hands tightened around his small frame and she shook her head in denial.

Ardhansh lifted his eyes to stare at her broken eyes and pulled her closer to himself, he touched his forehead to hers, breathing heavily and whispered,

"I AM SORRY YASHIKA. But HE BELONGS TO HER."

He wiped her tears and kissed her forehead lingering his lips there to lessen the guilt surrounding his heart.

He got up and stormed towards the door only to bump into an old lady who just come running inside the house.........
