5 ~ His Legacy...

Author's Pov,

He stood outside of his father's study room and glanced at his small palms, he bit his lips debating with his mind if he should go inside or not.

He decided to go and knocked before asking for permission in his baby voice, "Baba, ami dhukte pari?"

(Baba may I come in?)

His father raised his eyes from the files and stared at his small figure, "Aandar aashun."

(Come inside)

"Ki holo? Aapko koi pareshani hai chhele?"

(What happened? Are you having any issues, son?")

He bit his small lips and moved his round eyes in the whole room, he first time decided to disturb his father, but now he was feeling guilty about his decision.

"Ami kshoma kori."

He apologized making his father smile seeing his good manners, "No need you can say what you want to say?"

"Really?"

"Haan."

(Yes)

His eyes sparkled hearing his father's answer.

"I want so much power baba," his hazel eyes were filled with so much expectancy while he said those words staring straight at his father.

Ishan Raichand's lips curled in amusing grimace and he muttered, "Power?"

"Haan," Krunal replied with a wide smile.

(Yes)

"Do you want to know what power is?"  Ishan asked staring at his son's innocent eyes which were filled with hope.

Krunal's eyes twinkled hearing his father's words and he answered, "Haan Baba."

( Yes Baba)

A cruel smirk came across Ishan's lips and he let out, "LEARN TO RULE SON NOT TO BEG. BUT THE RULES SHOULD BE YOURS. REMEMBER NOT ALL KINGS SIT ON THRONES, CLEVER KINGS OF POLITICS KNOW THAT THEIR KINGDOMS START FROM FEET."

Krunal's pupils widened attempting to understand his father's words.

Ishan smiled and said while ruffling his hair, "Power is not a destination; it's a journey. And your journey in politics has time to begin. In the cutthroat world of politics, power is not given; it's found and taken my son. And I trust on my blood, You will take it all. One day Krunal Raichand will rule the Political world."

His lips curled up when those words hauntingly resonated in his ears.

"You were wrong Baba. Power is not found, it's created. And I'll create a legacy that history will never forget," his mind announced and a small smile adorned his pink lips.

He knew his journey in politics had just started but his ambitions were bigger, he would not Rule the political world but he would make sure that each Ruler would follow his Rules.

"Reporters are here Krunal," Ved, Krunal's uncle informed him.

"Hum Do minute mein Aajayenge Aap Jayiye Badi Dadi Saheb," He politely told his great-grandmother and moved towards the Garden area where Reporters were already waiting.

Sher Baba followed him so did his assistant Aadarsh.

He moved with the grace and confidence of a seasoned politician. A dazzling smile adorned his lips, he was a charismatic and unflappable leader, a master of the political game.

For a moment all Reporter just stared at him not knowing how they should react, the serene smile on his lips was so catchy and pleasing to avoid and his handsome face didn't do any justice to their corrupting emotions.

Krunal greeted them by holding his hand in the air and warmly smiled before taking his seat.

"You can continue but just three questions, because Sir just came back after a long drive, he will give an official interview tomorrow."

Aadarsh informed them and a reporter got up not wanting to waste a single second, "Congratulations, Sir, on winning the elections. It's great to see a Raichand again in politics."

Krunal stared at him for a second and then responded, "Thank you so much, It's the legacy of my ancestors I am just taking it forward."

"Since when did you start taking an interest in politics?" Another reporter asked.

"Well, I suppose to. Politics has always been in my blood. With a family deeply rooted in this arena, it's hard not to take an interest After all I have to take their good works forward."

"What is your message to the youth of the Country?"

"My message to the youth of the country is simple but crucial: Engage, Empower, and Elevate. Don't just stand on the sidelines; actively participate in shaping your future. Believe in the power of your voice and your vote. Together, we can create a brighter, more inclusive Country."

"Sir any opinion about Mr Devraj Agnihotri, losing his first election after being in politics for ten years?"

Krunal's lips twitched upward and he smiled, DEVRAJ AGNIHOTRI, The name always played a strong role in his life.

Of course, they have a strong connection. In the end, both are bound with the same blood.

"Sir, It's the fourth question."

For a second all reporters stared at him to understand if they heard Sir from his mouth or not, but when their minds proceeded they were just bewildered.

It was the first time they interviewed Krunal Raichand. When he was in the business field, he always avoided interviews so they never got a chance to talk with him directly, During the election campaign also he most of the time avoided media or press conferences, maybe he was the first politician who did this strange thing.

But he just called a Sir to a simple reporter was so shocking, they didn't know he would be this humble.

Krunal got up and with a last warm gesture to all of them, moved from there.

Arya nervously fidgeted with her Saree's pallu and kept stroking her belly, feeling weird pain in her stomach.

Fear, excitement, anxiety, nervousness, happiness, and shyness were all emotions that were creating havoc inside her stomach.

She felt like she was troubling her baby that's why he was moving so much.

"Baby please please don't trouble Mumma, and surely not in front of Dadda, She just doesn't want to look funny."

She said looking at her baby bump and staring at the mirror, not knowing why she was looking so much at herself in the mirror.

Her eyes went towards her cheek and she sighed seeing that slapping mark.

She just doesn't want him to notice this and ruin his day.

"Arya."

She heard her younger sister-in-law Avika's voice and turned to see her holding a paper bag in her hand.

"Ji Avika Di."

(Yes Avika Di)

Avika glanced at her and said with a frown, "Are YOU Sure That you are 21 Girl."

Arya turned towards her and glanced with question-filled eyes.

Avika took a seat on the bed and said, "You don't look like you are 21 the way you always live in tension."

Arya smiled and said, "I know how to smile."

"Ohh God that's good or what would have happened with Bhaisahab?"

Her smile widened, "Vo Niche kya chal raha hai?"

(What is happening downstairs)

"Are you missing your husband?"

"No...No...I just asked–

Her cheeks turned red in embarrassment, making Avika chuckle loudly.

Arya bit her lips and changed the topic, "What is inside that bag?"

Avika stopped laughing and took out something from that, "It's a nightgown."

Arya just stared at that good-for-nothing small piece of cloth and said while fidgeting with her fingers.

"I don't–

"Oh come on Yaar, I am not saying you to wear it in front of the Whole Raichands, it is just to please your husband."

Arya's eyes narrowed at her words and she stared at her with distasteful gazes.

Avika sighed and answered, "If You don't want. No one is forcing You. Amisha Di is the one who sent this to you. Not me."

Arya was surprised hearing that it was her elder sister-in-law who sent that cheap cloth for her, but she came out of that shock and took a breath of relief but it didn't last long hearing Avika's next word.

"Bhaisahab is talking with Ved Uncle and Badi Dadaisaheb, Ma asked you to come downstairs for dinner."

Her heart thumped loudly upon hearing her words, she still wasn't ready to see him.

"It's okay, he is your husband no need to get scared," Avika assured her making her smile nervously.

Arya got up from her seat and checked herself for the last time in the mirror.

She saw Avika walking out of her room and she too decided to walk downstairs.

"Look baby Mumma is nervous, please just don't move around and make Mumma more miserable."

She kissed her palm and kept her hand on her tummy before gradually walking out of her bedroom.

She cautiously cascaded down the stairs and saw men in black surrounding the whole living room with guns, there were Police officers too.

She noticed one Police officer looking at her and she warmly smiled at him but he quickly averted his eyes with grumpiness.

Arya bit her lower lip feeling embarrassed and moved her feet towards the dining area while keeping her hand securely on her swollen belly.

When she reached near the dining room she heard her Great-grandmother-in-law's voice who was talking with her husband.

"Tumi ki tui tomader khabar khawto na?"

(Did you used to take your meal or not?)

"Ami chhilo Badi Dadi Saheb."

(I used to Badi Dadi Saheb)

His masculine voice made her heart race at a fast pace, igniting a spark inside her belly.

A strong wish to see his face invoked inside her heart and she tilted her head to look at him not entering inside and taking everyone's attention.

She didn't want to draw the whole family's attention to herself but she regretted what she did because her eyes just got stuck on his handsome sight.

Her heart fluttered with thousand of emotions, she couldn't help but admire him from afar,

His chiselled jawline and piercing hazel eyes radiate tenderness surrounded by darkness, while his neatly trimmed beard adds a touch of sophistication to his looks.

His perfectly tailored suit and well-groomed appearance made him the epitome of elegance, with a disarming smile that can win over even the staunchest critics, Krunal Raichand was a figure of both political power and undeniable charm.

She understood why he had so much female fan following.

Mahi too used to look at him in my man type of way, though Mahi stopped it after her and his marriage, but she couldn't help but feel jealous and possessed over him.

She watched him with her open mouth as he attentively listened to his great-grandmother's words.

His eyes filled with affection and respect showcasing his tenderness, it tugged at her heartstrings.

She relished his tender moments with his grandmother, she can't help but sense a hidden layer of complexity in his character.

She always did.

That's the reason she is always scared around him.

She feels like there is a darkness that seems to lurk beneath the surface, a shadow that he guards carefully from the public eye.

She always wondered what secrets and burdens he might be concealing behind his charming facade.

But she is drawn to the enigma that he represents, knowing that there's more to know about him than what meets the eye.

It has been three years since their marriage but still, there was a sense of curiosity and a desire in her heart to uncover the mysteries that lie within him, adding a layer of intrigue to their connection.

Suddenly he tilted his head and her eyes met with hazel orbs sending a shiver down her spine, she noticed a smile mixed with something dark and evil spread through his lips, and jolts passed through her whole body.

"ARYA WHY ARE YOU HIDING THERE COME AND SIT BESIDE KRUNAL," She heard Charlotte's (Ved's wife's) voice and felt like she couldn't get into a more embarrassing situation than this.........
