4 ~ Raichand: Masked facades...

Author's POV,

Arya glanced at the mirror and saw that she looked beautiful, wrapped in a Red saree which she wore once again after three years of her marriage life.

It was a simple red saree with a plane boundary at the end, they didn't have a luxurious or elegant wedding but a simple court marriage, so her wedding saree was also simple.

She wasn't wearing any heavy things other than her matrimonial chain, nor she was adored with heavy makeup but she was looking gorgeous as always, with a pregnancy sheen on her face.

She smiled forcefully but it didn't reach her eyes, and she knew he would catch her, she again tried but failed miserably and a lone tear dripped out of her eye, making a beautician who was brushing her hair frown.

"Is there any problem Mam?" That girl asked.

Arya quickly shook her head and turned her face to look at the slap mark on her face which was neatly hidden under the single layer of powder but still it was a little bit visible, she tried to control her tears but they just flowed out of her eyes.

"Mam, should I call someone?" That beautician asked worriedly, seeing her continuous flowing tears.

"Please don't tell this to anyone, just do me a favour and give me a box of pills from the bedside drawer," Arya said trying to control her thudding heart.

That beautician followed her order and quickly bought a box of pills towards her.

Arya took that box with her shivering hands and took out the pills.

She quickly gulped down it and rested her head on the chair, she stared blankly at the grey ceiling of her bedroom, and tears dripped down the corner of her eyes.

"Mam,"

"Mam,"

That beautician's eyes widened in horror and she called her out but Arya didn't respond to her.

She ran towards a door but before she could open it, someone opened it from outside.

Amisha entered inside and when she noticed Arya's state she quickly locked the door from inside and glared at that beautician, "Don't you dare to move out of here until I say."

The girl was already horror-struck after seeing Arya's condition, she just nodded her head and stood near the door like a statue.

Amisha quickly moved towards Arya and shook her gently, "Arya...Arya...look it's me."

But Arya didn't flicker her eyes and blankly stared at the ceiling, it was feeling like she wasn't in her senses anymore.

"Arya, are you fine? Say something girl don't scare me." Amisha shouted shaking her violently but Arya didn't respond then she did what came to her mind.

"Krunal is here Arya, Don't you want to meet him," Amisha lied trying her last attempt, knowing that nothing could bring her back but her husband's name was enough.

Arya lifted tear-stained eyelashes and asked, "Kya wo Aagaye?"

(Did he come?)

Amisha just moved her head sighing in relaxation.

Suddenly Arya hugged her tightly and busted into tears, "I am sorry Di, I shouldn't have dragged you into my matter,...I am..so...sorry.....Hum unhe sab bata denge."

(I will tell him everything)

She sobbed loudly and Amisha just sighed seeing her tears, She knew Arya was still naive and unaware of the truth of this house, but that was good for her rather than knowing the heart-shattering realities that would break her beyond repair.

"YOU ARE NOT TELLING HIM ANYTHING, ARYA."

Arya lifted her eyes and glanced at her with her eyes filled with so many questions, "He abused you....Di...How could..you...let him-

"Shhh...just keep quiet." Amisha shushed her and glanced at the beautician,

"Hey, you go out..and don't you dare to speak anything to anyone,"

That girl nodded her head and went outside of the room not before closing it behind herself,

"Look, Arya, it's my and his concern, you don't need to look after this... it is a great day for you and your husband so be happy for him and don't poke your head in unnecessary things."

"But Di-

Amisha cut her off and said, "No more arguments, Let me clean your face, Aapke Pati ko Aapke Aansu pasand nahi Aaenge?"

(Your husband will not like your tears)

Amisha started to clean her makeup and Arya drifted into her thoughts,

How can a husband abuse his wife, she never thought Amisha's husband could abuse her and top of all things Her Badi Dadi Saas (great grandmother-in-law) Reshma Raichand and the whole Raichand family were there, but not a single person let out anything.

She couldn't believe the people who were famous outside of this house for their generosity, and their good work for women's welfare were this low.

It's been three years she had been meeting them occasionally, yeah she meets them occasionally or at family dinners, In the Raichand mansion only she, Krunal's great grandmother Reshma, Neil, and her husband who don't even stay for weeks lives.

Other Raichands are out of it as they have their own residences, like Krunal's stepmother Avantika Raichand has her residence, and Krunal's other step-siblings live with her, his uncle Ved Raichand is always an outsider, Krunal's grandfather and grandmother lives in their house.

But it didn't matter if she met them or not what mattered was what she heard about Raichands that they never let any culprit go without punishment, they are too good people, who puts society before themselves. Today she felt like she had never known about them.

People love them and votes for them for the good work they have done, but those same good people let their daughter get abused in front of their eyes.

Her thoughts broke with the door opening sound of her bedroom, "Arya Bhaisahab is at home."

It was Krunal's step-sister Avika Raichand, who is younger than all Raichands and three years older than Arya.

Arya quickly got up from her seat and moved towards the window of their bedroom.

She missed him so much, "Baby look, Papa is here."

She caressed her stomach and told her baby with tears of happiness and pain dripping down her eyes.

*****

Raichand's one of the richest family in the country, power, money, positions, and respect owns everything,

Money and ego are best friends who come with power, that Raichand family possesses so dearly.

Raichand is a big and respected name in the industry, which has the power to take their friends to the sky or drag their enemies to the ground.

People respect them, and keeps them as their idol, not because they fear them but because their work is respectful, and they devote their life to society's welfare, these are the opinions the public has about them.

Krunal's Great-grandfather and Reshma Raichand's husband Shivaditya Raichand was the former prime minister of the country and the first politician from the Raichand family after that every elder Raichand decided to give their life for social work.

Then his grandfather Aadishyanath Raichand was in the line, who two times served the nation as PM, he had two sons Ved Raichand and Ishan Raichand.

Ved parted ways and decided to enter the business world, and so did Ishan but he also decided to take the legacy of politics and he did it without and second thought.

Ishan Raichand got married two times first wife is the mother of Krunal, and Amisha while his second wife Avantika has three sons Tanishk, Neil and Vivaan and one daughter Avika.

They aren't united or have a joint family, In reality, these perfect social workers need an appointment to meet each other, there are no sentiments attached, just a namesake relation for social activities or to maintain the power they hold in society.

But the thread of politics which was holding their family, Ishan Raichand never let it lose, It went like this till it was Krunal's turn to enter politics, but Krunal declined the idea of entering the politics and joined their family business.

At that time Ishan Raichand Krunal's father was the PM of the country but one day when he was giving a speech on stage someone shot him and he died on the spot and the culprit was never found.

After his death, everything fell apart but suddenly Krunal showed his interest in politics and decided to enter in political world, leaving the world of business which he always desired from the core of his heart.

Krunal started his journey from scratch and now he is the CM of their state it was a big achievement for a newbie who was still a kid in the world of politics, but sometimes people forget that blood is thicker than water which never fails to show it's colour.

"We reached Chhote Sarkar," Sher Baba said shaking krunal out of his sleep who was sleeping peacefully after so many days.

Krunal opened his tired eyes and glanced outside from the window.

Raichand mansion was standing proudly as always, he didn't have any sentiment with this house, not he would ever have, it's been three months since he was out of the house but he didn't miss a single person except for the one.

Responsibility teaches so many things and he learned to take them as a reward, not as a burden.

"Ae hairate Jindagi! Tere Safar mein kyu humesha humsafar chahiye?" Those words just left his lips making him smile at his own thoughts.

He got down from the Car and moved his long legs towards the marvellous door of the mansion.

Krunal Raichand, the man was always a hot topic of the country, from looks to intelligence blessed with everything a man could.

But the most attractive part of his personality was his humble behaviour, kindness, and respectful nature, he was a sharp sharp-minded man with a classic touch to his talks, and a well-maintained socialist.

Then come back to looks, The female fan following he has is enough to describe how he looks, maybe the most handsome youngest political leader ever, a complete attention thief, he never made any extra effort to turn people's whole attention towards himself, it was already given before he could ask for it.

But What we always see, is that true? Maybe No.

Old grandma always says some humans have facades of Angels, which hide the truth of demons behind those innocent faces, when you are unconscious or not aware of the danger around you, the monsters will come out and feed on your flesh, be aware!

Be aware of demons, they can be hidden anywhere around you in the flesh of a common human being.

Krunal dusted his kurta and moved his eyes slowly towards his bedroom, but before he could take a single glimpse of his Angelic wife a voice caught him off guard.

"To Hamare Sher jit gaye Chunav." Reshma Raichand's proud voice resonated in the whole Raichand mansion.

(So my son won the elections)

Indicating that finally, another Raichand was back, back in the bloody world of politics, where power comes first then relations.

The whole Raichand family was already out of the house to welcome their son.

Krunal's lips curled up in a beautiful smile, and his face got adorned with the glow of victory, he stubbornly tilted his head taking a glimpse at the beautiful sight near his bedroom window and let out, "Hum Jit Gaye Badi Dadisaheb Kyu Ki Hame Harna Aata Hai"

(I won great grandmother because I know how to get defeated.)

*******

In luxurious room.

"Badi Malkin Bade Sahab Aapaki raah dekh Rahe hai." A servant told her, who was busy admiring the handsome man on TV screen.

(Mam sir is waiting for you)

"Kahiye aapke Bade Sahab ko ki Aapki Malkin Apni Mohabbat ka Deedar Karane mein mashroof hai."

(Tell your sir that your Mam is busy adoring the sight of her love)

"To Phir Hum Aapke kya hai Neharika?" A strong masculine and intimidating voice made her helpless to look at the man with affection in her eyes.

(Then what I am to you Neharika?)
